Thankful Each Day This Week

Hey friends, you all know we're celebrating Thanksgiving this week! A chance to connect with family, to stuff our bellies until we're ready to nap, and most of all , be reminded of the blessings we have in our lives.

I know in my every day life, I don't spend anywhere near the amount of time realizing how blessed I am. There's always something staring me in the face that seems to take precedence over a more thankful attitude. Sometimes it's a load of laundry, sometimes a sniffle, sometimes a pile of dishes (and bottles now with the little one) to do.

So my goal this week is to open my heart more and remind myself that those blessings come in handfuls. I'm getting out a note card and writing on it:

What Are You Thankful For Today?

I think I'll put it on the mirror on my bathroom or somewhere I'll see it throughout the day.

Life is too short to forget all the good things, and those good things are too precious not to recognize.

Join me if you want, and put out your note card. You can even write what you're thankful for each day on the back.

So, what are you thankful for today?

Today, I'm thankful for my family. Simple, I know but without them there would be so much less joy in my life.

Oh, and don't forget to come back on Friday for your last chance to enter my monthly giveaway. There's chocolate in there - and that's definitely something to be thankful for.

There are some really negative things going on in my and my family's life right now, but I'm thankful for my health and that I have a loving family.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Cindy!

Yes, Cindy, chocolate is most definitely something to be thankful for!

I love this idea and your words are filled with truth. Christ and my family are at the top of my thankful list.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I've been thankful for a new job this year...one that is less stress and more pay! It is God-sent!

Gosh, I'm thankful for all kinds of things. Mainly that God is faithful and that I know Him.

I think what I'm most thankful for this year is that my dad is well. Last year at this time, he was in the hospital and the doctors told us he probably wouldn't make it. Well, a year later and he's doing great! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Cindy, I am most thankful for God that Yeshua died for my sins and because of him I have a home in Paradise.

I am so very thankful that my Christopher is doing well. And my family. I am going to do this. The note card thing. Excellent idea.

Have a lovely Thanksgiving, Cin. Squeezin' you tight.

At first I was going to say I'm thankful for family, but then I saw the word 'chocolate' at the end of your post. So now I'll say I'm thankful for family and chocolate. :)

I'm thankful that my teacher hubby got a new classroom this fall, that our college daughter is doing well, that I have such a great church family, dear friends, and awesome writing buddies.

Happy Thanksgiving, Cindy!

I am thankful for irises that bloom in November, Jesus' loving me in spite of me, and ice cream.

Thanks for asking!

Hi Cindy! I am so glad you found my blog, because now I have found YOUR blog! It's great! I love your writing style! And I think the Lord was leading us both in the same direction on what to write about this Monday. :) I look forward to reading more of your work.

About note cards, I have them all over the house, but I typically only have Scripture verses on them, which are always great reminders to keep my life aligned with God's way. GREAT IDEA to write down things we're thankful for! I think my children would love to see a note card with their names written on it, and my hubby, too.

God bless you as you work to glorify Him.
